Stop Albo’s Misinformation Bill

Stop Albo’s Misinformation Bill

Albo and Labor are trying to censor the internet

The Albanese Labor Government has introduced a Bill to Parliament that would give the Government the power to force internet companies to censor content that Government has decided is misinformation or disinformation.

This would apply to social networking sites, video sharing platforms, and possibly even messaging apps. They would be forced to delete posts and messages that the Government instructs them to or face huge financial penalties.

Join us in signing our petition to tell Albo, Labor, and the Parliament that we do not support this Bill. It is not the Government's role to decide what is and isn't the truth.

Read our submission against this Bill

Turning Point Australia lodged a submission against this Bill to the Senate Standing Committees on Environment and Communications. In our submission we argued that the Bill imposed censorship on free-speech, posed a threat to our Constitutionally implied right to political communication, and the risk of bias mislabelling of content as misinformation for political purposes.
