Turning Point Australia Hosts Freedom Parties Collaboration Summit

17 August 2025

Turning Point Australia has successfully hosted the Freedom Parties Collaboration Summit, the first-of-its-kind forum to foster greater collaboration between independently funded freedom parties across Australia.

Parties participated in the summit on a good-faith basis to discuss the future of the freedom movement in Australia and to explore continued collaboration in future elections. All ideas were explored on a non-commitment basis and with an open mind focused on ensuring increased electoral success, greater membership growth, and more faithful voter representation.

The summit was a great success with representatives from almost every significant independently funded freedom parties across Australia attending and exploring a multitude of ideas, setting the groundwork for future endeavours.

“There’s pretty much 90% to 95% alignment on policy. The real crux of the challenge is mechanical, and we really worked through that,” said Joel Jammal of Turning Point Australia, who chaired the summit.

The summit was called for by Michael O’Neil of the HEART Party (established in 2016 as IMOParty), and was attended by 10 freedom parties. Commitments were secured from all participating parties to continue discussions and seek feedback from their parties and members about more specific collaborative efforts.
