TPAUS Submission to Combatting Antisemitism, Hate & Extremism Bill 2026

Turning Point Australia has lodged a formal submission to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security regarding the proposed Combatting Antisemitism, Hate & Extremism Bill 2026. While we unequivocally condemn racial hatred and political violence, our submission raises serious concerns about the scope and structure of the Bill, including its impact on free political communication, civil liberties and democratic participation. We believe existing laws already provide strong protections against violence and intimidation, and that this legislation goes far beyond what is necessary.
