Charlie Kirk: A Reflection

10 September 2026

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since Charlie Kirk was taken from us

On reflecting on Charlie‘s legacy and the contribution that he made to public life it’s absolutely clear that Charlie is irreplaceable and was one of a kind. No one can fill that man’s shoes.

One of the mysteries that has left me baffled is seeing how even to this day his videos rack up billions of views a week around the world.

How is it that someone tried to silence Charlie for good, and instead ended up amplifying his voice a thousandfold?

Charlie understood that we live in a fallen world that is clouded in darkness, and he chose to shine as a light proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ in a place that most conservatives had written off as a lost cause.

When God asked “Whom shall I send?” Charlie answered the call.

But why was Charlie such a threat? Well…he was a bridge builder. He genuinely wanted the best for the opponents that he debated. He did it respectfully but he also was no pushover.

Politics could use a lot more Charlie Kirks for this reason alone.

But on top of that he was a great father;

He was a towering figure in campaigning delivering the seven swing states to Trump; And his videos continue to this day to reach an international audience empowering chapters like those in Australia and the UK.

So how can I and how can we honour Charlie Kirk?
Keep turning up. Defend your values. Get involved at elections. Invest your time into this country’s future, your children’s future. And in Charlie‘s words,”NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER SURRENDER. ALWAYS GO FOR THE WIN.”

I hate to say it, but the left have learnt nothing since Charlie was killed. The same violent spirit that took Charlie from us has entered Australia.

And if there’s one lesson we need to learn in reflection today, it’s that this spirit of violence must be extinguished.

And you can honour Charlie by remembering that a bit of him lives in you. Remember what he taught you and breathe those values into saving this great nation.

While his attacker was armed, Charlie was also armed with the most dangerous thing in history … his voice. Use yours.

God bless you all.
